With unexpected challenges comes unexpected growth and opportunities. In Fall of 2016 I was planning on finishing both my Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology and my final collegiate soccer season, until an unexpected ACL injury would sideline me for a year from soccer. As my academic career came to an end in December of 2016, I was determined to finish out my last year of eligibility, and was pleasantly pushed to start my journey into the masters program. The Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning program provided a space for me to reflect on my past experiences within both my academic and soccer careers. This program gave me the opportunity to explore the game, that has been a major passion of my life since I was 5 years old, in more depth and with a more critical look into the curriculum, as well as, the way coaches teach the game.

I love playing, watching, analyzing, and thinking about the game. When I began my collegiate career I saw the depth behind the game; there is more strategy, more preparation, and more planning, which has all led to a deeper fascination of the game. I want to continuously learn for life and follow the passion for the game. I want to help others find their passion both within the game and within life. I want to create an atmosphere for players that promotes healthy living, passion for the game, eagerness for learning, and overall preparation for life.
